Garden Shopping

I have been busting my hump preparing the garden space in the backyard for a couple of weeks now, and it was finally time to take a trip to the nursery to pick out the crops I would like to grow. I think my dreams are bigger than my garden, ha ha. For instance, I long for a persimmon tree and a fig tree both, yet I only have room for one… What’s a girl to do??  Walking through the nursery I am so inspired by the beautiful foliage and the endless possibilities of what my garden could be. I also love oogling the beautiful statues and concrete pieces that lend an artistic influence to any garden space.

These are the fruits and veggies I have decided will be planted in the garden so far: Rhubarb, Blueberries, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Zucchini, Peppers – Bell & Jalapeno, Grapes, Peas, Green Beans.  Herbs: Rosemary, Lavendar, Dill, Thyme, Parsley, Oregano, Sage, Basil, and Mint. What are the things which you love to grow in the garden every year? I would love some recommendations and inspiration! Wish me luck on a bountiful harvest this growing season!!

  1. Yeah I would grow all of those things if I had any gardening skills. that sounds amazing. there is nothing better than fresh produce from your own garden.

The one thing I do try to grow is fresh herbs, which you are already planning on. Fresh herbs are so expensive but growing them is manageable and makes my food taste better. Thanks for the inspiration!

    • I know!! Why are fresh herbs so pricey at the market?? I mean they are herbs for crying out loud!! Way to go – utilizing the space that is available to you… kudos.
